Good morning Canton. It's Wednesday Sept. 25. Here are a few things to know about today.
1. At a public hearing tonight, residents can weigh in on a proposal to combine the town's planning and zoning commissions. The public hearing takes place in the community center at 7 p.m. In a meeting to follow the hearing, selectmen could take action.
2. In its regular meeting, the Board of Selectmen will hear about alternative energy items and consider transferring a piece of open space to the Canton Land Conservation Trust. See the full agenda here.
3. Mikado Asian Bistro and Lounge in Canton Village officially opens today.
4. The National Weather Service predicts a sunny day, with a high near 70.
5. Looking ahead Billy Joe Shaver comes to Bridge Street Live Sunday.
