Farmington River Group Celebrates 60th Anniversary

On September 22, 2013, the Farmington River Watershed
Association will celebrate six decades of locally based river stewardship with
a 60th Anniversary Party.  The
festivities will be at Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT from 3 to 8 pm.  An informal program will feature comments from
past and present directors and Board members about famous accomplishments and
legendary characters, a montage of past, present, and future activities, and a
display of FRWA historical memorabilia and publications.  There will be live music by two local bands,
the Sofa Kings and the Dave Donaldson Band, plus appetizers from Blue Sky
Foods, a BBQ buffet from the Meat House, and delicious desserts.   The
goal is to have fun, celebrate the beautiful Farmington River, and support
FRWA’s many conservation initiatives.
Tickets are $25 per person for a full buffet dinner; cash bar.  Call FRWA at 658-4442 or visit frwa.org/events
to RSVP today!
