Chief Financial Officer, Motorlease Corporation, one of the nation’s oldest and largest independent automobile leasing companies, with annual revenues of $30 million. Responsible for budgeting, strategic planning, leadership development, and negotiating consolidated credit lines in excess of $100 million.

Why are you seeking office?

After serving 8 years on Canton’s Board of Education, I believe I have a unique understanding of the fiscal challenges facing Canton.  During the 3 years I served as Board Chair, the Education budget averaged less than a 1-percent increase.  As a member of the Board of Finance, I hope to support continued fiscal prudence for Canton.  In addition, I believe improved communication and transparency for all the town Boards is vital to Canton’s future.

What experience do you bring to the table?

Elected Board of Education 2007 - 2013

Chair 2010 – 2012

Vice Chair 2009 & 2013

Finance Committee member 2007-2013; Chair 2007-2009

Chair, Brick-by-Brick expense comparison group

Participated: CBPS Space Study, District Technology Committee, Grade Reconfiguration Study, Town Capital Improvements Committee, Town Insurance Study Group, Served on every BOE committee during 8-year tenure

What do you feel is the town's most pressing issue?

In an era of low economic growth, it is important that Canton balances the needs of the town and schools with the ability of the tax payers to support any increases in spending.  Emphasis needs to be placed on finding efficiencies and cost savings before additional spending.

What do you love most about town?

I love the sense of community in Canton. The people who live here are very caring and involved which makes the town a special place to live and raise a family.

What do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends whether it’s at the soccer fields or the beach.

How can residents keep up with you?
