Thank you CTPati for your insightful comments in this discussion. I did discuss your e-mail with my editor. While Patch has zero tolerance for abusive posts, we don't seek to be politically correct. The term teabaggers originally refers to conservative supporters of the Tea Party. In fact many conservatives have said they want to "reclaim" the word the way it was intended.
Thank you.
Best,
Sujata

Thanks for your article on the nation debt crisis. I wish it was on more CT Patch sites, such as Trumbull, Fairfield, Wilton etc.
PLEASE remove "Afreedman2011" comment from 2:31 p.m. today, because the term "Teabaggers" is a very vile, disgusting term related to homosexual acts.
I will cc the editor, in case you don't see this soon.
Thank you,
CTPati
