What's On Tonight: Skip Party, Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids, I Brake for Yard Sales

TV tips for Friday, April 20.

Skip Party, 8 p.m., TCM “A pair of college men poses as girls to find out why a fellow classmate is so successful in his romantic endeavors. Starring Frankie Avalon.” Awesome! Say Yes to the Dress: Bridesmaids, 9 p.m., TLC “A bride teams up with her 7-year-old maid of honor to battle against their pushy older sister.” I cannot wait to watch this. I Brake For Yard Sales, 8 p.m., HGTV “Lara Spencer uses finds from flea markets, yard sales and thrift stores to redecorate her best friend's home.” You know if you aren’t posting your yard sale on Patch’s calendar, you are losing out on massive sales of your own junk.

What's On Tonight: Kathy, Lifeguard! Rehab Addict

TV tips for Thursday, April 19.

Kathy, 10 p.m., Bravo And so, my life is complete. Kathy Griffin has her own talk show. Wait, I take that back. My life will be complete when I am a guest on Kathy Griffin’s talk show. Lifeguard!, 9 p.m., The Weather Channel “A mother suffering from hypothermia is rescued but forgets something behind in the water.” Gee, do you think it might be … her kid? Rehab Addict, 10 p.m., DIY Ha, ha, get it? Rehab … addict. It’s a clever play on words! She is addicted to renovating homes so she is a rehab addict. Oh, I am ROTFL.

What's On Tonight: Survivor: One World, NOVA, Revenge

TV tips for Wednesday, April 18.

Survivor: One World, 8 p.m., CBS It is hard to believe that anyone would choose to keep Tarzan or Alicia over anyone else but I guess that decision makes this group’s “eye-on-the-prize” clarity that much more, well, clear. They are playing with their heads, not their hearts, and are making genius plays week after week lately. Tonight, the weepy ‘messages from home.’ NOVA, 9 p.m., PBS (check listings) Tonight, “Why Ships Sink.” These seem obvious to me. “Reconstructing the events leading up to cruise disasters, including the Costa Concordia, the MS Sea Diamond and the MTS Oceanos.” Revenge, 10 p.m., ABC I watched the hour-long recap episode last week and I am completely hooked. Of course, I may only like the Cliffs Notes version, but I am …

What's On Tonight: New Girl, Raising Hope, Amish: Out of Order

TV tips for Tuesday, April 17.

New Girl, 9 p.m., Fox If and when you figure out how to play True Americans, please call me or email me with either the explanation or an invite to come play, because that looks like the funnest game ever. What a great episode that was, and not just because it included Spice Girls lyrics. Tonight, Jess meets the ex-wife and Schmidt and CeCe have a pregnancy scare. FDR! Everyone, drink. Raising Hope, 9:30 p.m., Fox Season finale. I will miss these guys. Hopefully we will see you in the fall! Amish: Out of Order, 10 p.m., NatGeo “The Columbia, Mo., ex-Amish community includes two brothers trying to help a friend leave the sect and a man who still yearns to return to his Amish family after five years outside the sect.” Only the folks at …

What's On Tonight: The Voice, Dancing With The Stars, Smash

TV tips for Monday, April 16.

The Voice, 8 p.m., NBC Good heavens! Tonight, two contestants face instant elimination – by whom I am not sure – as Blak’s and Christina’s remaining singers perform again. How great was Adam On His Soapbox on last week’s elimination show? So great. Dude is quite the orator. Dancing With The Stars, 8 p.m., ABC So apparently there is a Spanish soap star competing this year with Cheryl Burke who makes Giles Marini look like Ralph Kramden. I have to admit I have not been watching, and have been using YouTube to stay caught up. Ladies? Smash, 10 p.m., NBC There was a great article in Entertainment Weekly about shows that start with an awesome premise and then cannot maintain it, and Smash was one of the shows mentioned, and they are exactly …

What's On Tonight: NYC 22, Nurse Jackie, The Celebrity Apprentice

TV tips for Sunday, April 15.

NYC 22, 10 p.m., CBS More cops! Even better, rookie cops! And their supervisor is nicknamed ‘Yoda’. I, for one, cannot wait. Nurse Jackie, 9 p.m., Showtime When last we left our friends at All Saints, Jackie’s fake recovery was revealed, and Kevin had confessed to adultery. The previews for the new season look, shall we say, awesome. Welcome back! The Celebrity Apprentice, 9 p.m., NBC “Each team must make its own puppets and perform for an audience; while an outspoken celebrity tries to be a team player, another contestant has a breakdown.” I hate puppets.

What's On Tonight: Titanic, The Bodyguard, Hunger Hits Home

TV tips for Saturday, April 14.

Titanic, 8 p.m., ABC Not the one in which your heart will go on … instead, a new mini-series version on ABC that continues Sunday night. But now that I have you singing the Celine song in your head for the rest of the day … my work is done. The Bodyguard, 8 p.m., AMC Wait! Never mind ‘My Heart Will Go On’! All together now – “And Iiiiiiiiiiiiiii, will always love youuuuuuuuuuuuu. Oooooooohh.” Hunger Hits Home, 8 p.m., Food “Oscar-winning actor Jeff Bridges presents a heart-wrenching but empowering account of the crisis of childhood hunger in America.” Have you seen the previews for this? We all need to bring a giant box of food to our local food pantry on Monday. First thing.

What's On Tonight: ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends in Concert, Undercover Boss, Say Yes To The Dress: Bridesmaids

TV tips for Friday, April 13.

ACM Presents: Lionel Richie and Friends in Concert, 9 p.m., CBS I love Lionel Richie and I am not ashamed to say it. And the idea of him countr-fying his greatest hits and singing them with Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Rascal Flatts and Kenny Rogers makes my heart swell and my eyes tear up. Undercover Boss, 8 p.m., CBS Tonight, Budget Blinds. I don’t know about you, but I have learned several important life lessons from buying really cheap blinds. We’ll see how the CEO makes out. Say Yes To The Dress: Bridesmaids, 9 p.m., TLC “A bride gets into an argument with her selfish maid of honor; a bride's vision of a one-shoulder gown doesn't work for her busty maid of honor.” OK, brides, listen up…

What's On Tonight: Lifeguard! Dateline: Real Life Mysteries, Sweet Genius

TV tips for Thursday, April 12.

Lifeguard!, 9 p.m., The Weather Channel For further proof that lifeguards are not like us: “Lifeguards in San Diego have some big problems on dry land.” Dateline: Real Life Mysteries, 9 p.m., TLC “A woman falls off a cliff while on a hike with her husband; it takes 20 years to find out what happened.” I am going to take a guess: he pushed her. Sweet Genius, 10 p.m., Food I’m sorry but the host of this show creeps me out.

What's On Tonight: Survivor: One World, Suburgatory

TV tips for Wednesday, April 11.

Survivor: One World, 8 p.m., CBS As stupid and useless as the women were at the start of this season, so now they are smart and competent. Nicely played Kim. I am always so happy when the Alpha Males bite the dust. Don’t Trust The B--- In Apt. 23, 9:30, ABC Let’s call it the Curse of the Curse Word In The Title and just hope this really stupid-looking sitcom goes the way of $%^# My Dad Says. Suburgatory, 8:30 p.m., ABC I had cooled a little on this sitcom but the episode in which Dalia co-opted Lisa made me laugh out loud many times.

Got a Hot Tip?
