Sam CollinsMore erected the First Congregational Church of Collinsville in 1836, some four years after the local congregation was established. The present day structure was built in 1858, a year after the previous one was destroyed by fire.</p> <p>Today the church invites residents to"come as you are." Children of all ages are also welcome and the church remains active in the community.  </p>
