As the town of Canton's largest outdoor recreation facility, Mills Pond Park hosts a variety of events, camps, sports…More and other recreation activities throughout the year. The recreation area features a six-lane, Olympic-size swimming pool, four tennis courts, two basketball courts, two soccer fields, two baseball diamonds, a playground and a skate park.
The pool offers group and private Red Cross swimming lessons on weekday and Saturday mornings during the summer. The pool also hosts the Duskie Dolphins youth swim team. Other activities at the park include a variety of live music, outdoor movie nights, sports camps (soccer, tennis and basketball), Explorers Summer Camp and ice skating on the pond. Visitors may also bring their pets to the park and enjoy its athletic fields and facilities when they are not in use.

The town's senior center is located in the lower portion along with the Senior/Social Services office. In addition, numerous program rooms are used for programs and town board, commission and committee meetings. Community gardens are located on the side of the building.
