North Canton Community United Methodist Church

Flag as Inappropriate

Dedicated in 1872, North Canton Community United Methodist Church was built on land formerly used by Milo Lee to manufacture carriages. Methodists in the section of town had gathered at other locations and around 1870 began the effort to build the structure, a process largely documented in the writings of Lorin Case.

Today, the church remains very active hosting many ministries such as summer music, prayer shawls, vacation bible schools and others. It also retains numerous community ties, hosting events including Friday Night Out dinners and Strawberry Festivals. They also support health-care facilities, social-service efforts and other community initiatives.
