Founded in 1942, Cherry Brook Primary School initially served kids in certain sections of town. Since then, it has undergone numerous renovations and is now the town's only kindergarten to third grade school, with more than 500 pupils. Cherry Brook is also home to a town-run preschool, whose students are chosen by lottery. The elementary school looks to combine traditional and contemporary education, placing a special emphasis on reading and technology in 2010. Critical thinking, adaption of classroom lessons to everyday situations and community service are also emphasized.
