The Halloween Parade Turns 20, Dogtoberfest and More in Canton

My mother used to say don't wish your life away but truthfully this week seems to be all about Saturday. Sure there's more going on but the Halloween fun at the end of the week is almost too much to take. Here are a few reasons. 

1. It's weird, it's funky and yet family friendly. Few events can rival the 20th Anniversary Collinsville Halloween parade. 

2. No need to wait until Saturday night, Saturday's Halloween fun includes Dogtoberfest at Dogology. 

3. At 1 p.m. Saturday a Halloween party and silent auction will benefit Canton Community Nursery School. 

4. The Ghoulish Gallery of Goods and Pumpkin Extravaganza fun in Collinsville starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

5. Roaring Brook Nature Center hosts its Hobgoblin Fair on (drum roll please) Saturday! 

6. Up the road a bit Camp Jewell is hosting a Halloween Harvest Festival on — you guessed it — Saturday.
