Musical Bliss, a Hearing on Medical Offices and More in Canton
Here's some of what's going on in Canton from Aug. 19 to Aug. 24, 2013.
Welcome to Monday, Aug. 19, 2013. It may be back to work but there's plenty to do in Canton this week.
1. Here's hoping for good weather Tuesday as it's the third try for those educators who rock by night — The Substitutes — at Mills Pond Recreation Center. The show will include some special guests and coincides with the Canton Public Library's party for those who earned their summer reading bracelet. Show starts at 6 p.m.
2. On Wednesday night, residents can weigh in on a proposed medical office building for the corner of Route 44 and Lawton Road.
3. Thursday it's also a prayer for good weather as the Farmington Valley Band has planned a very special "Ole Time Bandstand Concert" at The Green. See more here.
4. Wednesday, the VNA offers Free Blood Pressure Screenings at the Canton Community Center.
5. For the weekend, Bridge Street Live is offering the likes of Chris Smither, The Royal Southern Brotherhood and the J. Geils Jazz Quintet.
