Games, Wall of Fame Dinner to Cap Spirit Week, Alumni Weekend

It's been a full week of activities at Canton High School that started with a pep rally, school spirit day and homecoming dance last Friday, continued with themed days and a mid-week talent show and culminates with more activities this weekend.

Those include an alumni Wall of Fame dinner, alumni games and special CHS night games under temporary lights.

While there was some disappointment those contests won't take place on Canton's new multi-sport turf field, there promises to be a lot of fun.

"However we are still excited for the games under the lights to be played on Bowdoin field," said Canton Athletic Booster Club president Ann Bonini. "All the things we had planned for the new field: concessions, apparel and a half time show will still proceed at the old location. We are hoping the community comes out to support the players."

Those night games include a field hockey game at 6 p.m. Friday night against Westbrook and Saturday varsity soccer games; girls start at 6 p.m. and the boys at 8 p.m.

The football team takes on Hyde at 3 p.m. Saturday on West Field.

Other weekend home games include varsity Warriors Volleyball vs. Suffield at 4 p.m. Friday, with a JV match to follow at 5:30 p.m.

Alumni field hockey games are slated for 10:30 a.m. Saturday. See more about that here
