Poetry and yoga each invite us to tune into Mystery with a Beginner's Mind, to celebrate and examine the human experience, and to honor what is Divine. While moving between and holding basic poses, let the language of Master poets deepen your practice. Time will be provided for reflection and writing.
There is no fee for the workshop. Donations will be gratefully accepted.
One day Julie Wolman woke up and realized she didn't have to fix everything she thought was wrong with herself anymore. Yoga's motion and flow had showed her that instead of trying to fix myself, she could change her attitude instead. Her love of yoga inspired her to study Power Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga level 1 and to become a certified Melt Method Instructor. The primary focus of her teaching is Anusara Yoga and she has completed the 200 hour level Anusara Yoga teacher training. Julie believes a teacher is simply a student sharing their experiences. Everyone is welcome in her class. Come as you are . Relax and laugh. There are no mistakes .
Jackie Welsh found poetry long before she made her way to a yoga class. As a writer herself, a high school teacher, a writing tutor and the facilitator of a local poetry open mic, the opportunities to be humbled and inspired by the mystery and power of language continue to unfold before her. The union of poetry and yoga, for her, is a natural marriage, as both ask her to open, to root, and to expand.
