Due to slippery road conditions, the Canton Public Schools wil have a two hour delayed opening, said Kevin Case, Superintendent of Schools. There will be no morning Kindergarten.
The National Weather Service is predicting rain or freezing rain before 3 p.m., then a chance of rain, with patchy fog after 10 a.m. and a high near 35.
In Canton, the phone message he sent out at 5:50 a.m. did not get to most households until after 8 a.m. Case said he is looking into the issue.
"I'll be working with the messaging company to determine what the
problem was so that this does not happen again," Case said.
Case also said people can check www.cantonschools.org if they suspect there may be a delay or closing.
