A snapping turtle visited Stepping Stones Educational Center Friday as evidenced in this photo by parent Sarah Flaherty.
Teachers and children at the school have seen babies in past years but this was the first time the children were able to see the turtle actually laying her eggs, said school director Rob Amrein.
Hopefully the children will have a chance to see the babies as they make their was back to the stream between late summer and early September, Amrein added.
