Senior Class Lauded for Outstanding Academics

Honors night also includes announcement of department scholars, honored juniors.

Thirty eight seniors are ending the 2011-2012 school year with an A- or better average. That's 31 percent of the Class of 2012.

"That's phenomenal," said Canton High School principal Gary Gula. "That's the highest I've ever seen."

This week, those students and others were honored during the school's 37th annual Outstanding Academic Achievement and Honors Awards celebration. Also announced were department scholars, who will wear special cords at graduation.
