SAC Family Picnic Held at Canton Intermediate School

Student-run event features games, picnics, live music and more.

Thursday night, students at Canton Intermediate School hosted the annual Student Council - or SAC - Family Picnic picnic.

The picnic is a student-run event in which groups of kids get together to design and create "carnival games,” said SAC advisor Carrie Futterleib. 

The event includes a picnic dinner, games, a raffle and music by the Substitutes, a band consisting of teachers. Included are fourth-grade teacher Erik Perotti on bass, his brother Dave on drums, sixth-grade teacher Patrick Allen, Andrew Robbin, prinicpal of Cherry Brook Primary School and Andy Buckle, Technology Curriculum Integration Specialist at CIS.

Proceeds help fund activities at the school. A total raised this year was not immediately available.
