National and Local Bands to Play at Canton High School Thursday

$5 admission will benefit the school's Student Council.

This Thursday, some current and former Canton High School students will put their musical talents to use for the Student Council.

Headlining the show is NEEDMORE, whose booking is done by CHS graduate Ryan Abraham. He organized the event and the band is in the midst of touring major American cities. 

Vanity Theft, a female indie/alternative group who regularly opens for NEEDMORE, will also be play Thursday.

Also on the bill is Sculptured Air, a Canton-based indie jam band.

The band includes Jon Cahill on ukulele and vocals, Zach Wiles on lead guitar, Zach Powell on harmonies bass guitar, Evan Camporeale on percussion and keyboard

Tortilla Flat had been scheduled to play as well and member Ralph Holley, also a Canton student, said that while some members will not be able to make it, he is still planning to perform. 

The concert starts at 6 p.m. and will last until 9:30 p.m. Tickets to the show, which will take place in the Canton High School auditorium, are just $5.
