Comedy, Hypnosis Show to Benefit Ghana Trip

Basket/silent auction will also be included in event designed to help fund service trip.

Thursday night  Be the Change Club is sponsoring a comedy and Hypnosis Show and Basket Drawing to help raise funds for a planned service trip to Ghana this summer.

In all, six students and adviser Jen Gembala are planning a July 2012 trip to the country.

"The students want to go to Ghana because it will allow us to work with and participate in entirely new culture that is so very different from our own," Gembala said. "We want to take the experience of working with young, impoverished children and help — however little that help might be — make their lives a little better. And we are hoping to leave Ghana with a new appreciation of our own lives and with a newfound desire to continue to help people around the globe."
