Teen Book Club

Why Go:  The Glass Castle: A memoir, by Jeannette Walls, in the book  she describes her childhood,  who, along with three siblings, was raised by eccentric, nomadic parents. Rose Mary, a frustrated artist, and Rex, a brilliant, alcoholic father, who uprooted the family frequently, always looking for the next opportunity to prosper.  To register and for more information call 860-693-5800.

Life on the Farm 

When/Where: 11 a.m. on Feb. 22 at , 110 Albany Tpke, Canton, CT 06019

Why Go: Barnes and Noble invites kids to learn about life on the farm with storytime featuring "My Farm Friends" by Wendell Minor and "Story County Here we Come!" by Derek Anderson. 

Pricing: Free 

Unplugged Weekends 

Where/When: noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sundays. , 37 High St, Farmington, CT 06032.

Why Go: Enjoy simple pleasures during the cold weekends in February. We'll have games, toys, books and art supplies for you and your family to use.  A fire in the hearth and refreshments will help take the chill out. No registration is required. Visitors may determine their own admission.
