Next July, Canton High Senior Evan Rexford will join 17 classmates for a two-week trip to Kathmandu Nepal. There the group will work with children at a local school or orphanage.
The trip is part of the Be the Change effort at Canton High School and is arranged through Projects Abroad.
"I feel as thought that it will be a huge learning experience for me as I plan to major in Elementary Education when I go to college next year," Rexford said. "I will be working with kids almost every day, and that alone gives me an experience not many others have available to them. I also believe that it will help me learn valuable life skills that will help me for my entire life."
Rexford has raised $235 through his Go Fund Me web page and with some other donations and savings has nearly $2,500 of the needed $5,000.
