On Saturday, June 9, 2012 the grounds of Cherry Brook Primary School will be alive with the sounds of children and families as they host their Annual Children’s Fair.
According to Cherry Brook Primary Principal Andy Robbin, “Each year the Children’s Fair is a special event. It’s fantastic to see the children and their families interacting, playing games and celebrating together.”
Last year’s big hit, the dunk tank will return again this year. Fairgoers will have the chance to dunk such Cherry Brook favorites as, Mrs. Mutch, Mrs. Ferrone, and Mr. Phelps. Canton Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jordan Grossman will also do his part to support the Cherry Brook PTO by taking a turn in the booth.
Principal Andy Robbin will once again liven up the festivities with his band, The Substitutes. They will be playing outside this year so that all can enjoy their music while eating and participating in fair activities.
Old favorites such as the Cake Walk, face painting, bounce houses, basket raffle and the Chain Biter bike race will also be returning.
Snip-its of Canton will join the fair for the first time this year offering hair feathers for $10 and tinsels 2 for $6 for interested fairgoers.
Hot dogs and hamburgers hot off the grill, drinks and ice cream will all available for purchase. Outdoor seating will also be available.
Robbin continued, “It’s amazing to reflect on how many families and people are connected to the Children’s Fair and Cherry Brook Primary School. We are so fortunate to be a part of this supportive community.”
The Cherry Brook Primary Children’s Fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to the public. Admission and parking are free. Tickets are required for the games and activities and will be available for purchase at the entrance. Only cash will be accepted for food and Snip-its purchases. All fair proceeds will benefit the Cherry Brook Primary School PTO.
