Cherry Brook Primary School hosted its annual Art Show Wednesday evening. More than 1,000 pieces of art from some 500 students adorned the walls and media center at the school.
Students chose the pieces they wanted in the show, school art specialist Ellen Raposo said. Most had two to three pieces, chosen from the entire school years' work.
In the past couple days, staff, with the help of parents, hung and displayed the work.
The parking lot and halls of the school were packed Wednesday evening as parents, friends and grandparents viewed the work. Flutists from Canton Intermediate School entertained at the event, which also featured some refreshments.
"I think it's a great effort," Raposo said. "It's nice to see the support kids get."
