Canton Schools Closed, Recreation, Senior Events Canceled

The Canton Public Schools are closed Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, Superintendent Kevin Case said. 

Snow was falling at 5 a.m. and the national weather service predicted possible periods of snow, sleet and rain through 3 p.m., with an additional accumulation of 1 to 3 inches. 

Other activities are being canceled as well. Parks and Recreation activities are canceled.

The Canton Senior Center will be closed and there will be no Dial-A-Ride Transportation, Congregate Meals service or cards groups meeting. The Senior and Social Services office will reschedule the Low-Vision Support Group, most likely next week.

The Senior and Social Services office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Valley Ballet has canceled its afternoon and evening classes.
