Canton School Cafeteria Ratings Posted

Connecticut Health I-Team collected data on individual schools.

The Connecticut Health I-Team has collected more than 1,700 inspection reports on school cafeterias from 103 cities and towns.

Three of Canton's four public schools — Canton High School, Canton Middle School and Cherry Brook School — were rated well, with scores of 95 out of 100. But the inspection reports, based on 2010 data, did include some notes of violations, including equipment and facilities that needed cleaning or repair.

The data for those schools is available here.

The data did not cover Canton Intermediate School, but the Farmington Valley Health District website shows the school earned a good rating, the highest of three levels, in inspections on April 13, 2011 and  December 22, 2010. That was an improvement from the fair rating it earned in June 2010.
