Canton School Board Gives Superintendent Praise, Pay Raise

Evaluation credits Kevin Case with continued excellence.

The Canton Board of Education approved a 1.5 percent salary increase for Superintendent Kevin Case for the upcoming school year as well as a one-year contract extension. 

The board offered high praise of Case, in his evaluation, saying that he has continued to drive the district toward excellence and high standards despite budgetary constraints.

“This year you have demonstrated excellence in educational leadership… you have grounded your leadership in relationships while setting high performance expectations for your staff," the review said.

And, “as you focus on leading the district, it is quite evident that you never lose sight of the importance of the development and achievement of each child.”

The 1.5 percent raise brings his annual salary to $162,693, Case said.

Case has served as superintendent of the Canton Public Schools since 2006.
