MANCHESTER, NH (readMedia) — Saint Anselm senior, Monique Gauthier, a nursing major from Canton, has been selected to receive the $5,000 Dominic DiMaggio Scholarship from the BoSox Club, the official booster club of the Boston Red Sox.
Gauthier recently was inducted into Saint Anselm College's chapter of the international honor society of nursing. In addition to playing on the softball team, she participates in the team's clinics for aspiring college athletes and is the team's representative on the Student Athletic Advisory Council.
Dominic DiMaggio, a center fielder for the Red Sox and a longtime supporter of Saint Anselm College, was one of the founders of the club in 1967 and its first president. The BoSox Club has given an annual scholarship to a Saint Anselm College student every year since 2008.
