Canton High School Students Perfecting 'The Pajama Game'

More than 60 students practicing for March production.

Since the end of December, about 45 students at  have been rehearsing for some seven hours a week for an upcoming production of The Pajama Game. 

"It does take time but it is very rewarding, especially at the end when you go in front of an audience," said senior Simon Ciccarillo, who plays Sid Sorokin in the production. 

He and his counterpart Jillian Goeler, who plays Babe Williams, are each in their third high school musical. Goeler said she is excited to see so many freshmen involved this year and looks forward to seeing them mature on stage.

"I'm excited to come back next year and see them," she said. 

In all about 65 students are involved in the production, about 20 behind the scenes, said director and co-musical director Brett Gottheimer.

Helping him run the show are musical co-director Diana Lawler, choreographer Terry Rose and technical directors Ken Jones and Tom Moran. Andrea O'Neil is in charge of costumes. 

The production will take place March 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. and March 25 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for students and senior citizens and $12 for other adults. Learn more at http://pajamagame.cantonmusic.org/
