Canton High Music Program Showcased at Concert in the Park

Hundreds turned out to see Canton High School musical combinations perform at Mills Pond Recreation Area for the annual Concert in the Park Tuesday evening.

It's a tradition that started in 2001 and the response this year was overwhelming, even without a lot of advertisement, said Mark E. Wiles, president of Canton Parents for Music.

"It's become more of a tradition," Wiles said.

The organization sold food, including pizza donated by Flatbread, and $100 worth a merchandise donated by ShopRite of Canton, cupcakes by Jackie Zagoren and Susan Wallace and brownies by Kim Rexford made brownies.

A little more than $500 was raised for the organization and all goes back to music programs at the school, Wiles said.
