What’s Open, Closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Local, state and federal offices closed

Martin Luther King Jr. is observed on the third Monday in January. State, local and federal government offices are closed Monday as are banks. Most stores, however, will be open. Here's a partial list of what's open and closed for the holiday:

  • Town offices: Closed 
  • Canton Public Library: Closed 
  • Transfer Station: Closed as normal on Mondays
  • Banks: Closed
  • U.S. Post Offices: Closed
  • State Government Offices: Closed
  • State courts: Closed
  • Package Stores: Most Open
  • Supermarkets: Most Open
  • Retail stores: Most Open
  • Restaurants: Most Open
