Town Continues Friday Blood Pressure Clinics and Wellness Walks

Volunteer EMTs offer to provide screenings.

Canton Senior & Social Services and volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians from the town of Canton Volunteer Fire and EMS Department will continue to provide Blood Pressure Screenings on Fridays from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. at the Canton Community Center, located at 40 Dyer Avenue. 

The blood pressure screenings will be in conjunction with the Wellness Walking Program. People are welcome to come walk the halls of the Community Center, get their standing and active Blood Pressures checked and chat up our Volunteer EMTs who will be providing the screenings.

The next session will be held July 27.

Starting in August, the WELLNESS WALKS & BLOOD PRESSURE CLINICS will be held on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of every month.

Aug. 3 and 17
Sept. 7 and 21
Oct. 5 and 19
Nov. 2 and 16
Dec. 7 and 21

**People are encouraged to walk the halls of the Canton Community Center for wellness & exercise any day that the Center is open, whether or not a Blood Pressure Clinic is scheduled

The Farmington Valley VNA will continue to provide Blood Pressure Screenings in the Lower Level of the Community Center every Wednesday of every month from noon to 1:30 p.m.

All Blood Pressure Screenings are FREE of charge and open to the general public.
