Senate May Vote On Energy Bill Today

'Net Metering' part of proposal.

In this article, CT News Junkie is reporting that the state senate may vote on an omnibus energy bill today.

Many in Canton have awaited the results of the vote since it could help pave the way for net metering, which allows energy generated at one meter directly connected to a renewable energy source to “virtually” be applied to other meters.

While the upper and lower dams in Collinsville are a long way from generating hydroelectricity, net metering would bolster those efforts, according to a preliminary feasibility study.
