Republican Chairman: Primary Vote is Still Important

Polls Open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Town Hall Tuesday.

While Mitt Romney may clearly seem to be the candidate who will challenge President Barack Obama, Republican Town Committee chairman Brian D. First still feels it’s important for party members to vote in Tuesday’s primary.

“From my position, it’s still important to recognize that we each have a vote,” First said. “You’re still stating a preference."

And every vote sends a message to the winner — either that you are happy with the choice or want that person to realize that another perspective is worth listening to, he said.
