Murphy: Speed, Capacity of Semi-Automatic Weapons 'Unbelievable' [Video]

Sen. Chris Murphy watches a state police demonstration of the power of military-style assault rifles in Simsbury.

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D—CT) paid a visit to the Connecticut State Police Gun Range in Simsbury Friday for a demonstration on military-style assault rifles.

State police Sgt. Shawn Corey demonstrated the differences between two military-style assault rifles for Murphy as he asked questions specifically about two versions of a similar weapon — one that is banned in the state of Connecticut and one that is currently legal.

You have to admit, the "pattern" of shots fired by our State Police officer was outstanding. Kudos to him. I hope there are many more like him. Based on what our comic US VP is saying, it looks like things may become more reasonable. Lastly, at least Sen Murphy is asking questions and geting info much unlike other politicians. I give him credit for that. I hope he used the info it wisely. I am a 100% second ammendment supporter. Our founders were a heck of a lot smarter than the current crowd in the White House.

What a beautiful and convenient photo op. He is just learning these things now and he will have a say in the capacity of our magazines and what type of weapons we can own?
