This forum will provide citizens an opportunity to learn about all 5 candidates before the Primary. This event will be held in cooperation with Simsbury Community TV. An audience will be present and SCTV will tape the live forum for rebroadcast. Channel 30 will be taping as well.

The format of the evening will consist of opening remarks by the candidates with an opportunity for them to state their positions on issues, questions by the moderator and candidate's closing remarks.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan political organization celebrating its 92nd anniversary. It was established in 1920, the year in which the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guaranteed women the right to vote. From its inception, the League has been committed to promoting responsible political action through informed participation of citizens in government. Our mission “to produce informed voters” has not wavered over the nine decades of service to the community. The forum will be organized and conducted in keeping with the League’s history of active participation in politics and government.
