Canton's Democratic Town Committee announced that it has elected the following officers for 2012:
- Mary Tomolonius (Chairman)
- Robert Bessel (Vice Chairman)
- Mark Quattro (Treasurer)
- Bruce Lockwood (Secretary)
The DTC also formed an Elections Sub-Committee, for which Art Fournier was elected Chairman. During the meeting, the DTC unanimously endorsed candidate Chris Murphy for Senate. Finally but importantly, the DTC wishes to reiterate its thanks to long time treasurer Jim Bixler for the excellent work he has done and service he has provided to the DTC over the years.
Monthly Democratic Town Committee meetings are held on the last Monday (unless it's a holiday) of each month, 7 p.m at the Canton Community Center. All democrats are welcome to attend.
