Connecticut Restaurant Week: Featuring Canton’s Feng Asian Bistro

There are over 100 restaurants participating in the state's fifth annual Restaurant Week. Tell us why you like Restaurant Week and these restaurants in the comments!

Feng Asian Bistro in Canton is one of more than 100 restaurants in Connecticut that are participating in the fifth annual Connecticut Restaurant Week from Oct. 8 to 14.

Connecticut Restaurant Association, Sysco Connecticut and American Express are the co-sponsors, according to a press release.

"Restaurant Week provides diners with a unique opportunity to go out and enjoy a great meal at a great price," Nicole Griffin, executive director of Connecticut Restaurant Association, said in a press release. "Restaurants from Mystic to Stamford to Litchfield are participating in this year's event."

There are of course many restaurants in Avon and the area you can go to any time, but this week, patrons be able to order off a Restaurant Week menu priced at $20.12 at participating restaurants. There will be three course prix-fixe fare, specials for two, deals on bottles of wine and other specials that vary by restaurant.

Max a Mia's menu includes a choise of butternut squash and talleggio bisque or oak-grilled granny smith apple panzanella for an appetizer, grilled swordfish or herb-roasted filet mignon as a main dish, and amarena cherries made with prosecco zabaglione for dessert.

“Restaurants and customers alike benefit from this great week of meals and deals," Griffin said. "Connecticut is home to so many wonderful varieties of cuisines and Restaurant Week is a fantastic way to showcase them."
