Participants asked to register and bring non-perishable item for food bank.

Wednesday evening The Canton Public Library will show The Hunger Game during an end of summer reading party for adults.

Recently the film was shown for tweens and teens but reference librarian Beth Van Ness said the Hunger Games trilogy by author Suzanne Collins has generated interest for adult readers as well.

"I thought the books were wonderful and there's a lot of issues that are really relevant to what's going on in the world," Van Ness said.
