Officers were on the lookout for Cornachio's vehicle after an alert from Winsted police that she had allegedly left the scene of an accident in that town and appeared to be intoxicated, police said. There were two children in the car, according to a police press release.

After her vehicle was stopped, officers investigated, administered field sobriety testing and determined Cornachio was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

She is due in motor vehicle court on Jan. 29 and a criminal court on Jan. 30.

Patch could not immediately find a number for Cornachio.
