Medical Examiner lists multiple blunt traumatic injuries as cause.

State police said Polderman, 53, of 44 Smith St., Torrington was traveling Southbound on Route 8 near exit 46 in Torrington Monday evening when his motorcycle traveled off the roadway and struck the metal i-beam and wire guardrail shortly before 5 p.m.

On Wednesday, the state's office of the chief medical examiner said the cause of death was listed as multiple blunt traumatic injuries. It was ruled accidental in nature. A representative in the office said nothing was listed under other significant conditions.
