Sunday Night Storm Produces Rainbow, at Least One Problem in Canton

National Weather Services says storms and thunderstorms could pop up from now until 4 a.m., rainbow spotted shortly before 7 p.m.

In the midst of a storm shortly after 6:30 p.m. Sunday, emergency crews responded to a home on East Hill Road for a report of a downed power line to a home. 

At 7:12 p.m. firefighters said a small fire that had broken out was confirmed to be out and the power to the home secured. Connecticut Light and Power and Canton fire marshal Adam Libros also responded to the scene.  

The National Weather Service predicted the possibility of rain and thunderstorms through 3 a.m. Monday and patchy fog after 5 a.m. with more rain and storms possible throughout the day.
