Police Investigating Early Morning Incident at Subway

The Canton Police Department is investigating an early morning incident at the restaurant on Route 44. 

The window on the front door of the restaurant was smashed and broken glass still strewn on the sidewalk when Patch took a picture at the scene around 8:30 a.m. 

Police chief Christopher Arciero said he could not yet release too many details but confirmed it happened earlier today (Thursday, May 24) and called it an "open burglary investigation." 

"We are looking into the circumstances of the alleged entry into Subway," he said. 

Employees at the restaurant said it would be open for business today.
