Dish 'n Dat's Tip a Canton Volunteer Firefighter/EMT Raises $800

Dish ‘n Dat’s 4th annual Tip a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT raised $800 for the Town of Canton Volunteer Fire & EMS Department. Since 2010, Dish ‘n Dat has raised $4,000 for Canton’s volunteer Fire/EMS service.

While they assisted Dish ‘n Dat’s professional wait staff — busing tables, delivering food and assisting behind the bar — Canton’s volunteer firefighters and EMTs also responded to four separate emergencies: starting with a morning brush fire; then an afternoon motor vehicle accident; a medical emergency at The Shoppes at Farmington Valley; and by early evening, a water rescue.  

Dish ‘n Dat donated 10 percent of their customer’s individual tabs, with a special coupon that firefighters distributed through social media and around town. Customers added their own donations into bunker boots set around the restaurant.
