Dedication/Blessing of New Fire Trucks and Crews Set for Saturday

Town of Canton Volunteer Fire & EMS Department Chief Richard Hutchings invites the public to attend a Dedication for the Town’s two new fire trucks and the crews of Canton volunteer firefighters/EMTs who will ride them in service to our community.

The Rev. Rushan Sinnaduray, of The First Congregational Church in Canton Center, will present the nondenominational Dedication. First Selectman Dick Barlow will make a short presentation as well.

Following the Dedication, there will be a reception, courtesy of Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc, and the opportunity to tour the new Fire Engines 1 and 4.

The event takes place on Nov. 16 with a dedication from 11 to 11:10 a.m, followed by reception/Fire Truck Tours from 11:15 a.m. to Noon.

The event takes place at Jamboree Field, 91 Powder Mill Road, Collinsville. In the event of inclement weather, the Dedication will be relocated to the Department’s Collinsville fire station, 51 River Road, Collinsville.
