Coffee With the Cops Held Thursday Morning

Program Will Resume in September

The Canton Police Department held a Coffee With the Cops session Thursday morning.

The department will take a hiatus from the sessions for the Summer but begin them again in September.

Police have held the sessions the morning of the first Thursday of each month since January. Thursday’s event featured goods baked by Culinary I students at Canton High School.

Thursday, a few residents expressed concerns, such as speeding on Dyer Avenue and excessive noise from motorcycle and car mufflers on Route 179.

Police Chief Christopher Arciero said he will have officers work on the issues.

He also said the department is thinking of holding some afternoon sessions in the fall to reach those who cannot attend in the morning.

“It allows us to keep the focus on the public,” he said about the program.
