Canton police are investigating a Sunday afternoon crash near 667 Cherry Brook Road in which a vehicle ended up on a stone wall along the roadway.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. Sunday a 2001 Pontiac driven by Devin Hersey of 37 North Canton Road, Barkhamsted crashed into the wall, police said.
Hersey was transported to St. Francis Hospital by members of the town of Canton Volunteer fire and EMS Department. The driver had minor injuries, according to police.
Smoke was coming from the vehicle, which was heavily damaged, police said.
Police are investigating the incident and at this time no enforcement action has been taken, Police Capt. Lawrence Terra said.
