Canton Police Investigate Business Break-Ins

Similar incidents reported in Avon.

Canton Police are investigating overnight burglaries at two Route 44 businesses. 

At approximately 3 a.m. on March 22, officers on patrol discovered signs of burglary at Hollywood Nails, 221 Albany Turnpike, and Head First Hair Design and Company at 140 Albany Turnpike, police said. 

Signs of burglary were obvious and items were taken, police said.

Officers pursued a suspect vehicle but lost contact, police said. 

The town's patrol and detective units are investigating, police said. There were no injuries and as of 9:40 a.m. no arrests reported.

Similar incidents were reported in Avon at Kevin Edward Jewelry on Route 44 and The Hair Loft in Riverdale Farms.  

In addition, Simsbury police discovered that a door to a pizza place had also been kicked in.
