Canton Police Investigate Monday Afternoon Burglary

Homeowner found strange vehicle in driveway

Canton officers have some leads in a Monday afternoon burglary on North Mountain Road but continue to investigate, police said.

The owner of the home called police shortly before 4 p.m. Monday to report that an unknown vehicle had been in the driveway. As that homeowner went to investigate a white male exited the yard and left in the vehicle before officers arrived, according to police.

There were no injuries. Police said they have tentatively identified the vehicle and alleged suspect but said they can not yet release other details.

Anyone who may have information or experienced any similar incident is urged to call police at (860) 693-0221.

Police also remind residents to keep doors locked and report any suspicious activity.
