On Friday afternoon a bicyclist hit by a vehicle on Route 179 earlier in the week was in fair condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The rider, Jan St. George of the Marion section of Southington, was flown to Hartford Hospital by Life Star Wednesday afternoon after she was hit on River Road (Route 179) near Gildersleeve Avenue by vehicle driven by Lee Morgan of Avon, police said.
Chief Christopher Arciero said the department will wait for results from the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction team before determining if any charges are to be filed.
