Trees cut at Rail Trail

Almost all the trees were cut by the rail trail parking lot in Burlington. It looks terrible. Town officials have said it was because of roots ruining the pavement - but have not informed the public what the plan is to replant or fix the pavement. I am worried that without a planting plan in place poison ivy will emerge and Burlington Public Works will spray pesticides - which cannot be done near the river nor should be done near the trail where people exercise! It appears there was a hasty tree removal without a good replanting plan.
